Snoop Dogg x Backpackboyz Collab Release

In 2021 I was asked to create original packaging artwork for the Snoop Dogg x Backpackboyz collaboration. The strain was a simultaneous release with his new album The Algorithm. It was decided that the name should be the same as the album but distinct from it as well, hence the alternate spelling.

Because “Algorithm” is a word associated with tech, and Snoop Dogg is an old school legend, I decided to try to blend the past and present by harkening back to snoops roots in a modern way. My design was inspired by the album artwork for Snoops first big release: Doggy Style (1993.) Using the familiar Snoop cartoon likeness but remixing him into a cybernetic warrior from the future!
