Inspire Oakland Bench Design (2018)

In 2018 BRIDGEGOOD, an Oakland, Ca non-profit design agency held a contest for Bay Area students to submit Designs for public advertising. The only requirement was to include the phrase “Inspire Oakland” and to create imagery that would uplift and celebrate the city of Oakland. I created a mixed-media design of a stylized skyline of Oakland planted in a garden. The words “Inspire Oakland” written in the twists and curls of the garden hose as it waters the ever growing and plentiful west coast city. I was awarded several bus stop benches with my artwork on them. It was a huge honor to have my artwork displayed all over the city I love.
